In my Escape and Evasion courses, women often ask me to give them a list of recommended self-defense weapons. I would like to address this list here, but before we get into that I want to address some preventative measures.

Firstly, don’t be the soft target. Most criminals, or nefarious people who might be out to take something from you or hurt you don’t want a fight. They are looking for easy targets that will fear them enough to give in to any and all of their demands. So don’t be the easy target . . .
