A guide to getting your taxes done
 
Tax time is here again, more complicated than years before due to mandated health insurance and more difficult due to cuts in free tax filing assistance. What is a tax filer to do?
 
Start early!
 

Track all your paperwork by corralling it in a folder marked 2014 Taxes. On the outside of the folder, list all your anticipated paperwork and check off everything as it comes in. You will likely get W-2 forms from employment. You may have 1099 forms from gigs, contractor work or freelancing . . .
