Your furry friends can become important family members. And while most people cannot imagine leaving their pets behind in an emergency situation, they are often forced to do so when they are being airlifted off of their roofs. When it comes to choosing between your life and the life of your beloved dog or cat, unfortunately there is no real choice there.

But as City Prepping explains, there are ways that you can prepare for your dog or cat (or lizard or fish, etc.) to join you as you bug in (or out). This will require additional preparation as well . . .
