Selling

Some states require a license or permit to anyone who will sell firearms. In addition, certain states, such as California, prohibit anyone who is not a licensed dealer from selling firearms. This means that private parties will not be allowed to deal with the sale of firearms unless they go through a licensed dealer. When it comes to selling in gun shows, some states require background checks and other additional requirements for sellers.
